Problem Note 48558: An undefined db2Import symbol error is issued when you are connecting to DB2

The following error messages might occur when you attempt to access DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 7 or later.
The db2Import symbol is required because of enhancements to the DB2 bulk-loading functionality that requires SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 to use the newer db2Load and db2Import interfaces. For more information about these enhancements, see SAS Note 19993: "SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 has been enhanced to use the new DB2 API interface for bulk loading and importing to DB2."

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
ERROR: Could not load /sas93home/SASFoundation/9.3/sasexe/sasdbu (35 images loaded) ERROR: /sas93home/SASFoundation/9.3/sasexe/sasdbu : undefined symbol: db2Import ERROR: The SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 cannot be loaded. The SASDBU code appendage could not be loaded. ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
To resolve this error, install the required DB2 client libraries that are documented in the system requirements.
